Scutt served on the Western Front and died of wounds on 9 June 1917; Maguire returned to Australia on 26 September 1917.
The Electric Studio is included in the Newcastle Morning Herald from 1903 to 1946.
For Maitland, only one classified advertisement is evidence of the studio, when requiring “A refined young lady, not under 22, to learn the business.” [2]
